Most nurses want to find in-style scrubs to perk up their daily uniform and feel sexier, but locating those elusive work clothes can be harder than one might think. Scrubs are part of the nursing job that can’t be avoided; all kinds of medical personnel have to wear them. They are durable, comfortable, industrial and conducive to the work environment. Looking hot in scrubs is not part of the plan for most manufacturers, though. But here is one tip for new nurses that shouldn’t be ignored – you don’t have to settle for the dumpy, frumpy scrubs! There are more fashionable choices out there.
You might be surprised to learn that nursing jobs don’t always require you to look like you just stepped into a potato sack. There are nursing scrubs that come in all sorts of styles and patterns, and they are not always hugely oversized and unflattering. There are in-style scrubs from famous brand names like Baby Phat by Kimora Lee Simmons. There are even hospital scrubs inspired by the show Gray’s Anatomy.
One tip for new nurses that should help is to keep a lot of different shirts and tops around so you can mix and match your scrubs. Also try to avoid scrubs that are too big. Even if they are really cheap scrubs, they won’t be a very good deal if you feel like a cow when you wear them. And you might think that wearing oversized scrubs will hide any areas you are concerned about, but it will actually make you look even bigger. The only way to look hot in scrubs is to wear sizes that fit and wear them with confidence.
Having a nursing job doesn’t have to mean giving up your sense of style. Look for nursing scrubs that fit, find your favorite colors, and add different patterns to mix things up. Dress them up with earrings and necklaces, but make sure to keep the jewelry simple if you’re wearing patterns. Nursing scrubs can be fun and fashionable too.
