Cargo shorts are the ultimate in casual fashion and available in a variety of styles, colors and designs. From the classic khaki and camouflage shorts to linen, poplin or denim cargos and in as varied colors as black, olive green, brown, blue and white, cargo shorts are a much loved clothing choice both for men and women.

Selena Gomez, Mila Kunis and Angelina Jolie have all worn cargo shorts either casually or in their films or TV shows. Cargo shorts are generally worn in summer or in warmer climes and are suitable for wearing at home, to events or as part of your street clothes.

This style usually works well with flats, slippers, sandals and even heels but may also be worn well with cowboy boots. As appropriate for a casual look, anything overly dressy or complicated may well make you look absurd when combined with cargo shorts.

While some consider shorts to be a style suitable for the beach, the truth is that shorts have been used as part of boy's uniforms in English schools, Bermuda's (which are worn as business attire and even for cocktail parties) and men's formal dress, although the latter was true in the past only.
