The Benefits Of Jasmine Green Tea
In today's modern world, people have been continuously exposed to what some call the ‘wonder drug' and jasmine green tea has been rightfully included in that category. It's been known far and wide to improve one's health, providing jasmine green tea drinkers with defensive and invigorating effects to a longer and more fruitful life. - Anti-cancer benefits – there have been various research and studies that show how jasmine combined with green tea aids in the treatment, as well as in the prevention, of cancer. A component from jasmine has been found to gradually slow the growth of some cancer cells like those of the prostate and breast cancer. In fact, a lot of drugs used to treat cancer also make use of Jasmonate, an ingredient taken from the jasmine plant. This component is said to hold back the action of hexokinase – which is an enzyme that allows the cancer cells to grow.
- Anti-bacterial components – there have been studies done, and one of them in Kansas State University shows that jasmine has the ability to hinder the development of bacteria normally found in food borne disease such as salmonella. This study may be a wonderful find for the food industry that is searching for ways to treat this disease using the natural method.
- Decrease level of cholesterol – green tea catechins taken out from the jasmine green tea were found to lower cholesterol and triglyceride level in a study done on hamsters after they were exposed to a high level of fat diet. More research is being done to prove this is also true for humans, yet there is sufficient information to know that people could indeed benefit from drinking jasmine green tea especially those on a high fat diet.
When you look at all these health benefits from enjoying a cup of jasmine green tea, it is no wonder that it is called a wonder drug by some.
