Wearing a pair of mens cargo pants is no different than other pairs of trousers – you put one leg in first, then the other. There are many styles to choose from. At least nowadays cargo pants have become mainstream clothing as top designer brands names like Ralp Lauren and Yves Saint Laurent have come up with their own versions while being carried by known stores like The GAP, Bloomingdales and even Neiman Marcus.

They come in different fabrics and colors. You can get them in the classic khaki or fatigues or if you want something that's more professional looking a pair of black cargo pants.

And to continue with the professional look you can get them slimmer and with less obtrusive pockets and belt hoops. The drawstrings are even taken out leaving you with a pair that you can wear outdoors while still capable of passing muster in casual and perhaps semi-formal affairs. Anyone can wear them. The wearers of the classic design mens cargo pants were the military and outdoorsmen who loved the durability, comfort and functionality. They can trek in the wild knowing that they're wearing something comfortable that gives them protection and allows them to carry more provisions in order to survive.

Nowadays anyone can wear them and they do. They still like the comfort and durability but now the pockets hold gadgets rather than provisions. And many of them aren't necessarily worn outdoors as such. Rather they get worn outside and then inside to social events and casual parties and such. But nowadays they do fit right in. Some styles can even be worn in the office and no one would notice much. There are still some rules to wearing mens cargo pants, especially if you're short and heavy.
