Nursing Scrubs and Nursing Shoes- A M.B.A Project

Unfortunately as I must say, I was doing M.B.A in Sales. To be mentioned not that doing

was unfortunate but the brilliant project that was given to me," Increasing the Sales of Nursing

scrubs

and Nursing Shoes of Lydia's Uniform.com".

What a topic did I get, you can't imagine how much pissed I was!! And for the whole

evening I was

there cursing the Prof. who gave me such a topic. "How could one increase their sales and on

like this! No chance!!" I thought. They are just stupid things, which haven't changed for the last

50 years,

why would people buy their products, when there are hundreds of such products already

available in

market and that too at much lesser prices.

I thought I was about to get sacrificed for the sake of this " Lydia's Uniform .com". It

appeared to

me as if I am a young , tender lamb crying for help and bleaking, when two lions( my Prof. and

Lydia's

Uniform.com) are advancing towards me and are about to pounce over me.

I was busy in my own imagination of being pounced over by Lions, when my Mom entered

room with a glass of warm milk for me to drink before I sleep, but truly I say" Mother's are the

real gifts

of God", for as soon as she saw me, she understood of my being under some kind of trauma.

She put the

glass aside and calmed me while I tried to explain why I was in such a panic striken state and I

have to

submit the report the next day in class. When she heard of my topic, she smiled and

said, ‘Increasing the

sales of anything depends on its usage, the more it gets used, the more it will be sold ‘to which I

immediately nodded. She was correct, but how do it get used more? Then she said, it is easy if

nursing scrubs and nursing shoes of different departments in Hospital could be different. I

agreed ,it

was a perfect Idea!

Then we started discussing on it. If the various departments in Hospital get different

colored robes

for the nurses it would be easier to identify as well as locate them in crisis situation, say for

example if

nurses of I.C.U get blue colored robes they can be easily identified in a big hospital.

Also if Nurses in Pediatrics ward wear baby pink coloured clothes with some cartoon

stickers on

their clothes along with a big friendly smile, the children are sure to heel early.

This was the perfect idea, one which will definitely increase the sales and also save me, as

by now I

had prepared my report. It was eight years back from now and nowadays I can really see the

nurses with

colorful floral printed Nursing scrubs and Nursing Shoes, when I visit the hospital and every time

if they have implemented my idea or it is some one else brain which gave this colorful result!!
