The word uniform can be defined in three ways. However, as time went by, the use of scrubs for other areas of medical practice also became prevalent. At first, green was the only color they came in, but just as their popularity spread to other hospital departments, so did the hues and shades available to the market. Nowadays, scrubs are used by almost all doctors in every aspect of healthcare.
In addition, doctors uniforms would also include latex gloves, close-toed shoes, either a gauze or a synthetic textile mask, either a tie-back or a bouffant-style cloth cap and lab goggles.
Because doctors get to wear their casuals to work, uniformity really isn't plausible. However, with the use of lab coats and scrubs, doctors get to have an identifying look which easily lets other people recognize them as medical professionals.
