She would also be able to tell if the individual works for housekeeping or is an emergency room technician. This can save valuable time and effort when time is of the essence in a medical emergency.
Different scrubs can also be beneficial to the patients in the hospital. They are also able to tell what job each particular person has when they enter his or her room. If someone were to walk into their room and was wearing purple scrubs, they would know that this person is most likely there to take their heart rate or some other simple procedure. Or, if they walked in with khaki colored scrubs, they would know that they were there to simply empty the garbage. So, to the medical community, color coded scrubs are a way to make life easier for everyone.
